On the 25th and 26th of September 2019, iMARECULTURE H2020 project participated in the Science is Wonderful exhibition in Brussels, Belgium. This year, the event was organized by the European Commission together with the first edition of the European Research and Innovation Days (EU R&I Days).
During these two days, more than 300 visitors, including experts and general public such as families with children, experienced the Virtual Dry Visit applications in the underwater archaeological site of Baia, Mazotos shipwreck and Xlendi shipwreck. Visitors had also the opportunity to play with the VR 3D puzzles application and watch an explanatory video regarding the AR and VR technologies of the project. The event offered us the opportunity to reach the general public and especially children and receive positive feedback, giving us also the chance to encourage children’s interest in science.
